The Jury |
The following five people will actually have finished their work by the time Saturday, June 9, comes round. When the glitzy awards ceremony starts at 7 p.m. in zeise, cinema 1, there will only be one task remaining for the jury members to carry out: to explain the choices they have already made.
This will be the case for both the Hamburg Short Film Prize (5,000 DM) and the François Ode Prize (2,500 DM) an truly outstanding award in light of its humanitarian dimension. It is an honorary prize in memory of the late founder of the "Agence du Court Metrage" in France the agency served as a guiding example during the development of the Hamburg Short Film Agency. In addition, the audience prize (2,500 DM) will also be awarded to the film which the audiences have chosen as their favourite in the International Competition category. The end-of-festival party will then finally be able to get underway in the Festival Club at Harkortstrasse 125. There and only there will people be able to have a right good cry over how dubious and unfair the jurys decisions are. Always a cheery occasion. |
