Experimental Film

In 1996, the Coordination of European Film Festivals began a series called »Europe in Shorts« offering each participating festival a collection of films with a different theme each year.

The latest programme consists of eight extraordinary experimental films produced over the past 25 years.

Both Zbigniew Rybczynski’s revolutionary split-screen montage »Nowa Ksiazka« (1976) and the breakneck »Routemaster« (2000) by Finland’s Ilppo Pohjola are among the films being presented – each has had a major influence on generations of filmmakers.

A heavily recommended programme.
