As of now, filmmakers and production companies from all over the world are asked to submit their latest short films for the 21st International Short Film Festival in Hamburg. The festival, which is organised by the Hamburg ShortFilmAgency, will take place between 8 and 13 June 2005. The artistic director of the festival will be Jürgen Kittel.

The categories for the competitions in 2005 are the following:

• International Competition

• NoBudget Competiton

• Three Minute Quickie, Theme: »Football« (Soccer)

• Made in Germany

• Made in Hamburg (supported by the Hamburg Arts Foundation)

• Mo & Friese Children’sFilmFestival (5 – 12 June 2005)

The deadline for entries is 15 February 2005; entries for the Three Minute Quickie competition can be submitted until 1 April 2005. The best Three Minute Quickies will be edited on DVD – right in time before the Football World Cup 2006!
