SNAFU. MEDIA, MYTHS, MIND CONTROL
S.N.A.F.U. Media, Myths, Mind Control is an exhibition dealing with fundamental misunderstanding in hierarchical communication structures.
Since the late 1960s, artists have been working with video “against the grain”, using what is essentially a monitoring technology as a new image and sound medium. The exhibition encompasses a wide range of artistic activity on this theme, from mid-1960s work with film to the very latest video installations and video films. All contributions to S.N.A.F.U. draw their artistic inspiration from people’s failure to communicate with one another and with media.
