A WALL IS A SCREEN

In order to watch films, we have to leave the cinema first and go for a stroll through Hamburg during which the city's walls will serve as screens against which perceptions of otherness will be projected. Please ask at the info counter for the specific dates.

Thursday, June 10th 2004, around 10.30 p.m., in front of Cinemaxx Dammtor (S-Bahn Dammtor)
Sunday, June 13th 2004, around 10.30 p.m., in front of Cinemaxx Dammtor (S-Bahn Dammtor)

PROJECTORS RACECOURSE

And they're off! Will the Liesegang FP5 super-8 projector be able to beat the Paximat 12/100 to the finish? See our bookies, place your bets and feel the excitement of the racecourse as the projectors on wheels whirr past the audience. How's that for a moving image?

Saturday, June 12th 2004, around 10 p.m., Harkortstraße 125

QUEER QUICKIES

And yet another anniversary: 15 years of the Hamburg Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, which will be taking place here from 12 to 17 October 2004. A 90-minute journey through the world of queer shorts – from the provocative to the educational, and guaranteed to be different.

Friday, June 11th 2004, 11:30 p.m., Metropolis

NONITE UND LOLITE

If you can't remember any of the films you saw during the festival, or if you simply were not there, you still have two chances. On Friday, 18 June, at 8 p.m. we will give you three hours of award winners and favourites with both the audience and the festival team. But wait, that's not all. On Saturday, at a screening we like to call LoLite, the more obscure highlights of the festival can be viewed again at the Lichtmeß theatre at 9 p.m.

NoNite: Friday, June 18th 2004, 8 p.m., Metropolis
LoLite: Saturday, June 19th 2004, 8 p.m., Lichtmeß

TRASH NITE

The Trash Nite is an assault on cultural values, conventions and tastes. Brilliantly tasteless or just plain bad but hilariously entertaining – this expedition beyond the limits of good taste offers you the chance to see things (and films) you'll probably never see again.

Friday, June 11th 2004, 11:30 p.m., Harkortstraße 125

OPEN-AIR-CINEMA

On Saturday, 5 June, around 10 p.m. our own version of an open-air festival will be taking place under the starry skies of Altona.

Kemal-Altun-Platz, Ottensen
