Children's Workshops From Tuesday to Friday we are offering workshops for school classes from the 1st the 7th class. Children's Film Festival Hamburg - One Week of Cinema Just for Children! Children with freckles or green hair, children with no beards but with glasses. Children who see well but listen badly, and those who smell funny but hear better. Children from Eppendorf and Billstedt, and children with brothers, sisters or curious grandparents, children who know Hamburg well or those who are new to the city. - For every single child between 6 and 14! Dear girls and boys, we are thrilled to welcome you yet again this year to the Hamburg Children's Film Festival! On the Saturday before Whit Sunday, we'll make ourselves real comfy in the huge seats at Zeise cinema. The lights will slowly dim, the curtains silently open - and a stream of light will bounce off the screen. Here we go go go! For one whole week from the 10th to the 17th of June, children's movies from 14 different countries are coming to Hamburg, and there is so much to see. The scarecrow »Pugalo« with the blinking eye is from Russia, the snoring pig »Mister M.« from Switzerland, while tender kisses come from all over the world. The films are full of brand new stories, some happy or sad, some gentle or exciting, some noisy or quiet. »Tsatziki« opens the this year's festival. And as you are sure to need an ice-cream and want to play after such an exciting trip to Greece, right after the films we would love to invite you to the Children's Party with lots and lots of surprises all around the »Zeisehallen«. Our main festival cinema is the Zeise. However this year for the first time ever the films are also going on tour. So watch out, they're coming to your local cinema in the Billstedt and Wilhelmsburg districts. The eyes and ears belonging to the five members of the children's jury will be very busy indeed. They must watch every single film and decide which is the best children's film. This will then be awarded the DM 2,500 Children's Short Film Prize on Saturday, June 17th. But come and see for yourself if your favourite film is tucked away among the »Cuckoo's Children« or »First Kisses«. We hope you have oodles of fun!
