Post Nights: Open Air

The summer of 2018 was wonderful but is gone now. We turned nights into days under the clear night sky and looked to the silver screen. This year, we’ll be doing the same thing twice, since one is the loneliest number. Thus, we’ll have the big open-air cinema behind the hall and its little brother down in the entrance to the underground car park. And if you want to get moving while watching films, you can join A Wall is a Screen and hit the cinema’s bar afterwards. The programme is wild and on Friday, the classic Three-Minute-Quickie will be screened open-air.
On Saturday, there’s double trouble: Back in the day, it was normalcy but these days it’s rather unusual: Films! Rolls! 35mm film material! Projected with an analogue projector! Supreme copies from the archive of the Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg. Classical films from the working world, square scenery worlds, dream worlds scratched into the material … Simply fantastic films which we all had been wanting to see on the big screen for a long time. For that purpose, we will roll out our 35mm projector. At the underground car park, we’ll present to you two programmes from the Constance SHIVERS festival. On Sunday, we will top off the festival by projecting the award-winning films under the open sky. It will get late, but Monday will be off, anyway.
